Gabinete de Desenhos (Cabinet of Drawings)
I’m particularly fond of this exhibition I curated in 2007 at MAM São Paulo. With a collection of over 5,000 pieces of artwork, MAM holds the most relevant examples of the Brazilian art production over the past three decades. Among the eighty pieces selected for “Gabinete de Desenhos,” there are drawings by Mira Schendel, Tunga, Leonilson, Flávio de Carvalho, and Ferreira Gular. The exhibition also took place in Salvador in 2009, where it was displayed at Caixa Cultural space, installed in a 17th Century manor.
